The Diamond Resort Naxos Taormina is made with bio-architectural structures that protect and respect the environment. The whole structure rigorously follows simple but fundamental rules, such as reducing and recycling waste and reducing the use of water and energy, thanks to the introduction of the most modern technologies available. Renewable energy sources such as photovoltaic cells, the use of non-potable water for toilets and irrigation and a rainwater collection system, means that we really are leading the way in environmental protection.
Inside the Resort’s garden, there are organic fruit trees and a small vegetable garden with a herb patch, the products of which are used in our kitchen.
Our awareness of sustainability and environmental protection also guides us in our criteria for the responsible selection of suppliers and in all the decisions of our management policy and the hotel’s philosophy. Our catering favors local fresh ingredients, mineral waters, wines, and spirits, in order to achieve the dual objective of both highlighting local excellence and having the lowest possible environmental impact. We employ fresh ingredients with a zero-carbon footprint so as to reduce environmental pollution to a minimum.
